    Can you help?

We stock home-cooked meals in the church's freezer to distribute to families or individuals in times of need. As you prepare food for yourself and your family, would you consider making a double batch per month to split between you and the church?

    • Bring your dish to the office (M-Th).
    • OR leave it in the church kitchen freezer on Sundays
    • Clearly label your food: Name of dish, Date prepared, Ingredients (such as onions or spices) that may cause irritation, Your contact information.
    • Email the office (vineyardoffice@stlvineyard.org) to let them know what you left!

    Cooking tips

    • Avoid spicy dishes as the food may go to a nursing mom or family in crisis.
    • Cooked potatoes develop a gritty texture when frozen.
    • Fully cooked pasta turns mushy, so undercook slightly.
    • Some dairy products will separate when frozen.
    • The church can supply pans and lids: ask the office.

    • Mild chilis (beans freeze well)
    • Casseroles with rice or pasta
    • Spaghetti sauce
